2025 NGU Kalos Scholarship ApplicationLoading...North Greenville University (NGU) exists to cultivate transformational leaders for church and society. As part of that effort, NGU invests substantial funds towards students who have excelled academically and demonstrate potential to impact their culture. THE KALOS SCHOLARSHIPTo be considered for The Kalos Scholarship, students must meet the following criteria. Candidates must have an unweighted GPA of 3.75 and a minimum combined score of a 1320 on the SAT, or an ACT composite score of 28, or a CLT score of 88. Candidates must participate in one of the following areas of study: The humanities, more specifically English, foreign languages, literature, history, political science, philosophy, theology/religion, ministry, or music. Other areas of study are subject to approval. Priority will be given to students whose intention is to enroll in a graduate degree program upon completion of their undergraduate degree. The scholarship, in combination with any potential state, federal & or institutional grant aid, will cover the full cost of tuition, room (standard), board, books (through Slingshot), and required fees. The Kalos Scholarship is renewable for four years to students who maintain a grade point average of at least a 3.0 at the end of each academic year.Recipients of The Kalos Scholarship must participate in the North Greenville University Honors Program. They must prepare an annual summary of their progress for the donors of this scholarship, noting academic highlights and co-curricular activities, and make themselves available for an annual meeting with the donors as arranged by NGU. Recipients are also invited to participate in a four-day retreat at the beautiful campus of Impact 360 Institute in Pine Mountain, GA (travel expenses covered). Students applying for the Kalos Scholarship must apply by December 1, 2024. If invited to compete for a scholarship, student must attend NGU Scholars Weekend.
